Add and handle various apps that run at Windows startup for individual users that are linked to the local network, as well as back up the list to a safe location #Startup manager #Boot controller #Startup management #Startup #Manager #Boot
With time companies developed different types of programs, each with a unique purpose to help make your life easier and save up precious time, which we can use to relax, meet our families, or go on a vacation. Some of them, when installed, they are automatically added to the Windows startup list, and instead of wasting our time to search for each one, we can use other programs, namely, OnStart Pro, which offers us a simpler way of handling the startup items.
The app is an approachable and intuitive tool that provides multiple-user management and lets you control what programs should be allowed at startup and removes unnecessary ones. You can add or delete items from every user or limit certain ones to run for specific individuals. It's wrapped in a well-structured and approachable interface with a tree view on the left side of the panel and a file list that displays the status, name and path, on the right.
Once it's started, it loads the list of all records for each computer connected to the local network, and can be refreshed at any given time. The database is saved as a backup file in a safe location on the PC. OnStart Pro lets you add a new app either in the startup folder or the system registry, for which you have to input its name, path, arguments and working directory. Plus, the tool can be marked to run when Windows starts and included to all users.
For each item, if present, you can the company name, copyright, version and short description, which, unfortunately, you can't edit. The app detects and highlights all programs that were automatically inserted in the system startup configuration without your consent. Using this method, you view potentially dangerous apps and disable them rapidly.
Taking everything into account, OnStart Pro is a straightforward and handy utility that comes in handy when you want to manage all applications that run at startup for every individual user connected to the local network. During our testing, we didn't encounter any issues nor consumed too many resources.
