When you run it, it typically goes to the system tray until you press the dedicated hotkey to display its main window. Similarly, you can press the key combination when you want its GUI out of your way.

Its main window actually consists of a single field, and the action performed by Pinpoint depends exclusively on your input. For example, you can look for files on your computer by simply entering a keyword (Everything needs to be installed beforehand) or you can play music in Spotify without actually bringing up its window (the app however needs to be installed as well).

When it comes to functions you can complete without needing to install any third-party, you can try browsing and opening the bookmarks of your default browser, as well as open an URL.

Moreover, you can convert currency and metric or imperial units, but also color codes from HEX to RGB and vice versa. You can also a definition for a specified word or calculate mathematical formulas.

Another nifty function is analyzing stock market data by entering the company name you are interested in. You can use Pinpoint to quickly create notes and snippets.

No matter the type of info you are looking for, as soon as Pinpoint displays it, you can copy it to the clipboard with a single mouse click.

In a nutshell, Pinpoint can help you save tremendous amounts of time and energy that you would otherwise need to spend opening and closing third-party apps. It is still a bit rough around the edges, since it is a work in progress, and some of the plugins might not work as expected (such as password generator), yet its positive features outweigh the negative ones.
