Have a toolbar and dial menu added to the desktop, with the possibility to customize nearly everything ranging from visuals to actions, record macros, define hotkeys, and more. #Desktop menu #Desktop launcher #Launch shortcut #Menu #Dial #Launch
Sure enough the desktop is the place to start your work, since it holds shortcuts for most tools of interest. However, you can keep the desktop a clean place but still have comfortable access to your tools, and this is done with the help of third-party enhancements like RadialMenu.
It takes little time to get the program deployed on your computer. Just note that it requires .NET Framework to function, which is usually delivered in the default set of features with modern Windows iterations. A computer restart isn’t necessary, and you can find a tray icon for quick access to the settings panel, as well as a desktop toolbar to get you started.
RadialMenu offers up to eight customizable buttons on the dial. On the other hand, the toolbar can be fitted with a lot more rows and columns, but it constantly sits on the desktop. On the bright side of things, you can toggle the visibility of the toolbar buttons, whereas the dial only shows when pressing the corresponding hotkey command.
Although you can’t add more dial buttons, the application offers quite the variety of customization options. Different profiles can be created for the dial and the toolbar, which is especially handy considering available dial slots. You can define hotkey commands to easily navigate through profiles.
Customization options range from visual tweaks to general behavior. You’re able to add custom icons, display text, adjust the size of icons, dial, menus, and border, change colors, dock the toolbar to a side of the screen, and more. Hotkey commands are completely customizable, but a program restart is required to apply them.
The application can be made to run with Windows so that it’s ready when you reach the desktop. An impressive variety of actions can be configured for dial buttons, such as browser, email, key hold, key spin, swipe, toggle, launch, macro, mouse wheel, open location, standard command, or submenu.
Each type of action comes with its own set of controls for fine-tuning. What’s more, there’s a built-in macro recorder to create custom actions with the help of mouse interaction and keystrokes which can be saved and used as dial and toolbar actions.
Taking everything into consideration, we can state that RadialMenu is sure to help you organize your desktop a little better. All your shortcuts and actions can be configured here thanks to the abundance of preset commands, as well as the macro recorder for advanced action configuration.
