Auto Shutdown

Auto Shutdown is a Windows utility that can automatically power off your computer by using a countdown timer.

It has just a few simple settings that can be figured out even by those with little or no experience with software applications.

The setup operation is rapid and uneventful. At startup you can select the UI language between English and Portuguese.

As for the interface, the main window is made from a rectangular frame with a neat structure, where all you have to do is set the remaining time until performing an action (in hours, minutes and seconds).

Apart from turning off the workstation, it is possible to restart it, log off, suspend it, or put it in hibernation mode.

The countdown is triggered with the click of a button. You can either cancel the task or immediately initiate the selected action instead of waiting.

Auto Shutdown can be minimized to the taskbar to become non-intrusive. Unfortunately, it cannot be sent to the system tray area.

The app does not put a strain on computer performance, as it uses low CPU and RAM. It is very responsive to commands and works fine, without hanging, crashing or popping up errors.

By taking a countdown timer into account, Auto Shutdown is a pretty reliable tool for turning off or rebooting the computer (in addition to hibernate, suspend, and log off), featuring support for English and Portuguese. However, it cannot trigger a power management option at a specific time.
