Start

Start is a small software application whose purpose is to help you quickly access several Windows features (e.g. My computer, Notepad, Music) from a simple floating button, that can be moved to any area of the screen.

The program places a small button on your desktop that bundles only a few dedicated parameters to tinker with. You can access the utility’s functions by performing a right-click mouse operation on the built-in button.

Start embeds a talking assistant that automatically reads aloud each feature bundled in the program. On the downside, you are not allowed to enable or disable the text-to-speech mode and alter the volume.

Start gives you the possibility to easily open the following functions: Computer, Control Panel, Documents, Pictures, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and others. You can make the program automatically open Notepad for helping you write a text message. The tool doesn’t let you customize the list with the features, so you are stuck with the preset options.

Aside from quickly accessing several functions and programs, Start enables you to add data about your email and password (you may hide or reveal the characters of the password), user-defined text info, as well as details about websites, such as link, ID, and password.

What’s more, you can save the selected text to the clipboard, so you can easily paste it into other third-party applications, and perform a double-click mouse operation for opening webpages.

To sum it up, Start proves to be a simple application that comes bundled with limited features for helping you access various Windows features from a simple button and store information about your email and password.
