Auto Start Confirm

If you are regularly installing and uninstalling applications on your computer, then you probably notice that more programs want to start automatically with Windows. Sometimes, after a big update of a certain app, the feature gets enabled automatically, even though you turned it off.

Auto Start Confirm is a dedicated tool that enables you to view a detailed list of all the apps and services that start with Windows so that you can toggle them on and off as needed.

The program starts in the background, but you can easily access it from the System Tray. The interface consists of a list that displays all the applications and related services that can or are already starting with Windows. To get started, you can review the list and use the Confirm or Remove button accordingly.

The interface includes two tabs, one for the current apps and services and another dubbed History where you can review the items removed or that used to automatically start with Windows in the past.

The options are rather limited and solely allows you to specify if you prefer the app to start for the current logged user. The developer also points out that the app comes with the limitation, namely that it runs in user mode and therefore can only monitor and react after changes occurred.

Given the nature of the tool, it is important you know what you are doing before using the program. Some services are required for other tools and even the operating system to work, so disabling or blocking them will not work properly.
