DoNotSleep is a nifty little application designed to prevent your computer from ever taking a nap or actually going into sleep mode completely. It's a simple, yet configurable app that can easily be of help when taking constant breaks while using your PC. The concept behind it is simple and so are the controls for this application. There is little need for advanced computer knowledge when handling this program.

Running straight from your system tray, this application won't bother you at all, unless you need something from it. Right-clicking on its displayed icon will bring forward a simple drop-down menu. Here you can choose the number of hours you'd like your PC to stay awake or you could decide to deal with more advanced settings by selecting the corresponding button. Once again, you'll be presented with another menu. Basically, you'll deal with the same settings, only this time there are much more choices to be had.

If you'd like your PC to wake up by itself at a given time for whatever reason, DoNotSleep will allow you to do that as well. It's simple to program your PC's wakeup. Just fill in the date, the hour and the period of time you'd like your PC to stay awake for and everything will work according to what you've selected in the app's menu. Aside from this interesting feature, you can go into more detail regarding your PC's sleep capabilities. You can actually disable the sleep function for your monitor if for some reason you wish to do so.

DoNotSleep is a simple application that brings new functionality to your PC's table. It's easy to use and program, and it functions very well, without displaying errors or crashing. It's more of a nifty tool rather than an application. It fits very well with the system tray in Windows 10. It could have minor contributions in the energy-saving department, provided you use it quite often.
