There are many different approaches to productivity, and luckily there are more than enough solutions on the market to keep you occupied. Even small changes can bring about meaningful results, so you don’t necessarily have to use the most advanced software there is.

MouseMenu takes a decidedly simple approach to all of this, which may end up being beneficial for a good chunk of users. If you’ve ever thought it’d be nice to have a Start Menu of sorts right next to your mouse on-demand, then this implementation should satisfy that need.

The scope behind the program is simple: granting users access to a few controls or items of interest in an easily accessible way is very much convenient, so in theory, the idea is sound. The implementation of it all works well, too: set up a hotkey you’re comfortable with, and this alternative Start Menu will pop up.

Design-wise, the wheel menu works to accommodate the inclusion of media controls, programs, and hyperlinks. Once triggered by the hotkey, the wheel menu will appear right next to your mouse cursor, letting you interact with the items you’ve included. Clicking an item will execute it, regardless if it’s a media command, program, or hyperlink.

It’s worth pointing out that you can add launch arguments for included programs, as well as change their entry name on the interface.

Do not be fooled by the initial size of the wheel menu. Moving an item slightly outwards will create another set of boxes which will enable you to expand the size of your menu to proportions much larger than the initial one, so the app should even cover a more demanding audience.

The presence of the built-in Search function is also worth mentioning. Simply press the hotkey to bring up the app, and start typing the name of the app you're looking to navigate to.

MouseMenu can be quite a useful tool for productivity. In aiming to make working with frequently used programs and links easier, the software manages to provide a solution that is both convenient and accessible.
