With the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, changing the default audio device has become much simpler. However, if you need to perform this switch frequently, a hotkey is much more convenient, and changing the primary display is still not as easy as many would like.

OutputChanger is a lightweight application designed to make your life easier by allowing you to switch the audio output device and primary display with configurable hotkeys. It runs silently in the background and can be accessed from the system tray.

Windows 10 users can switch to a different output device directly from the system tray, but this application makes the process even more straightforward.

While it is running, a simple key combination (CTRL + F10 by default) can be used to cycle between all the available audio output devices. This hotkey is customizable, but you are limited to a combination of CTRL, ALT or WIN and one of the function keys.

In addition to letting you switch to another audio device, OutputChanger also enables you to make a different monitor the primary display with a simple hotkey.
