PowerOverlay is a lightweight utility designed to help you tackle the frequent repetitive tasks you deal with faster.

The program doesn’t come with an interface per se, but rather a 5x5 grid that you can customize according to your needs and preferences. The grid can be accessed from the System Tray and features 24 buttons by default that can be hidden.

Configuring the grid can be done by accessing the Settings button in the upper right corner and then selecting the button to style. Each button can be made invisible by unchecking the Visible checkbox, so you can have as many buttons as automate actions needed. Customizing the buttons entails specifying content type, action and button content, all of which featuring preview.

At the same time, you can personalize the appearance so that it draws your attention or be as non-distracting as possible. In this sense, you can edit the color of the text and background as well as the font size and style. On a side note, to change the colors, you need to input the code for the color you want, as the app doesn’t feature any options here. All changes can be saved in JSON.

It is worth mentioning that the developer plans to add more features in the future to account for more possible situations, including, but not limited to adding condition action, per-menu global key, track mouse monitor on activate, toggle webcam and volume settings.
