Win7GodMode

Win7GodMode is an ultra-simplistic software utility that facilitates quick access to activating the Windows "GodMode", which provides you with a list of hidden features to tinker with, in order to optimize the operating system and personalize it to suit your own tastes.

This can be easily done by creating a new folder in any part of the hard disk and naming it "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}". However, users who cannot remember this sequence of code may resort to this tiny application.

There is no setup pack available, so you can save Win7GodMode to any directory on the disk and just click it to run. Another option is to copy it to a USB flash drive or other removable storage unit, to be able to immediately access GodMode on any computer.

Unlike most installers, this tool does not create new entries in the Windows registry or additional files on the disk, thus leaving no traces behind after its removal.

The GUI is made from a funny-looking frame that shows a large green button. Clicking it makes the tool automatically create the folder in question in the same directory as Win7GodMode.

Henceforth, you can enter GodMode to tinker with functions available in the Action Center, Administrative Tools, AutoPlay, Credential Manager, Backup and Restore, Device Manager, Desktop Gadgets, Default Programs, and so on. The program does not come with a deactivation button, but all you have to do is delete the GodMode executable to get rid of it.
