WinTiler 2

Windows 10's Start Menu is definitely better than those of precursors and, while it does offer a few organization and customization options, it's not what one might call flexible.

This is where WinTiler 2 comes into play. In short, WinTiler 2 is a Microsoft Store app that allows you to add an extra layer of customization to your Start Menu via custom tiles.

Just to give you an idea of how it works, you can have the basic sections of the default Start Menu (such as Productivity, Office, and Recent) alongside a special section for all of your Steam games.

These tiles act as sections, or folders if you will, and they allow you to associate them with any program, webpage, music, folder, or even Steam game.

You can create tiles of various shapes and sizes. For example, you can opt between predefined layouts such as Badge, Square, Wide, and Large. If the predefined tile examples don't fit your taste or style, then you can create them from scratch.

The app also allows you to customize the background color of the tile, its font style, and launch arguments. Another great feature is one that allows you to choose exactly when the text should appear on the tiles in question.

WinTiler 2 is by no means a difficult app to work with. The GUI is plain and simple (offering two GUI themes - Light and Dark) and probably the most advanced section is the one where you can fully customize from scratch your tile.
