It’s inevitable for apps to start piling up as you use your computer. Even if you’re more minimal in terms of what you install, it’s nevertheless a good thing to keep up to date with your installers.

Tools to help users better manage this aspect of maintenance, if you will, can prove valuable in more than one way. In the case of QuickInstaller, the tool gives you the capability to update your installed programs from one interface, as well as perform batch install and uninstall operations with the same ease.

At its core, the program aims to provide assistance with the management of installed apps, but that’s not all. It gives you some tools to more easily handle any app you’ve installed on your computer — more specifically, you can update and remove software in batches. Note that portable programs also have a menu of their own, so you’ll be able to manage those just as well.

This comes with some obvious benefits that boost convenience, as all you have to do is check the programs you wish to deal with. The solution will recognize and appropriately suggest updates for most apps, but there are some outliers.

These outliers will have a Submit button under the Latest Update field, which you’ll use to manually specify where the program can check for updates to the respective software. This update watcher mechanism worked well enough during my testing.

While you’re at it, consider taking a look at the Browse Programs menu, where all manner of software applications can be found and installed with minimal effort. Numerous categories are available to make finding the right solution for you easier, so feel free to look around and see what you like.

You can opt for a normal or silent installation, both of which worked satisfactorily for me. I was then able to launch and use the installed apps normally.

Though only a Preview release at the moment, QuickInstaller was both stable and reliable for me, offering great convenience when it came to managing the software I had on my machine.
