Battery Level Notification

When installed on a portable device, the Windows operating system is configured to notify you about a battery level lower than 20% and automatically turn on battery saver mode.

However, there are other applications, such as Battery Level Notification, which can help you get notifications on a higher battery level, to avoid getting surprised by a low charging level for instance, during a presentation, when you really need the laptop or device.

Battery Level Notification is easily installed from the Windows Store and launched in the system tray area. There is no regular installer and there is no standard GUI for this application but, frankly, there is no need for one. It runs in the background and displays battery-related notifications as configured.

Clicking on the new icon in the tray area reveals a small window. Here, you can choose the battery level you want as threshold, meaning Battery Level Notification will send you on-screen notifications when the battery level is lower than the chosen limit. It can be set to notify you when the laptop is fully charged.

There are no additional settings to deal with in Battery Level Notification. However, the application can be configured to start along with Windows, as an alternative to the battery level notification system of the operating system.

This application comes in handy during presentations or similar events that require you to save energy and keep the laptop or any other similar portable device available for use in the lack of a charging source.

While Windows notifies you automatically about battery levels lower than 20%, this Store application makes it possible to set your own thresholds and also get notified when the battery level is full.
