Check out the battery history information as extracted from the SRUDB database file on every laptop with the help of this simple application. #Battery history #Battery viwewer #Battery statistics #Battery #History #Charge
It should be no surprise that Windows stores information about everything and battery history is no exception. Details about the charge levels, capacity, active time, energy and discharge time are located in a database file deeply embedded in the operating system, a file that is called SRUDB.dat. It might be difficult to access this file manually, but BatteryHistoryView makes it easy. It extracts information from the database file and displays it in an organized manner, inside a table that includes statistics ready to be included in reports.
There is no need to install BatteryHistoryView, as the application is completely portable. It is ready for use as soon as you double-click on the executable file. Keep in mind that administrative rights are required to be able to read the contents of the SRUDB.dat file.
The main window is simple, displaying the table where all the extracted information is shown. You get to see the timestamp of the event and check out the battery cycles, along with details regarding the designed capacity of the battery and its full charged capacity.
The charge level and the charge percent are shown and so are the active AC time, the CS AC time, the active DC time and the CS DC time. BatteryHistoryView also shows the active discharge time, the CS discharge time, the active energy and the CS energy levels. Should any of these columns not interest you, then you can remove them from the table.
All the information displayed by BatteryHistoryView can be exported to a HTML report for later reference and use. By default, the application reads information from the local system, but note that you can also use it to open an external SRUDB.dat file or access a remote computer.
BatteryHistoryView comes in handy if you need to have a report on the battery history of a laptop. It gathers information in a comprehensive report that can be shared with others or used as proof on forums and other places where you request advice on an issue you are facing.
