You have the advantage of finding out info about other computers besides your own directly from a flash drive by simply deploying and running the application from there, since it does not require installation in order to function. Registry entries remain intact during this time, but you need to be sure that the PC you run it on is fitted with .NET Framework.

Info is gathered instantly and by the time the window shows up every detail field is in its own place. There’s not a lot to view though, with the application only being capable of displaying values for Windows name and version, PC name, uptime, user, company, owner, number of CPU cores, total and available RAM, virtual memory, clipboard text, as well as the network status.

All value fields are editable in case you need to fix, or remove specific info from view. However, numerical values are displayed with way too many digits, while RAM value is shown in MB, with no option to change this.

Every info field of interest needs to be manually copied, which can take some time to save all of them, since they’re in independent fields. Sadly, the application is not fitted with an export option at least to generate a plain text report. However, you can have this info window brought up instantly by assigning a hotkey command to the program’s shortcut.

Bottom line is that PC technical details also come in handy for developing programs and video games. Computer Info wants to provide relevant details and it does, but only the basics, which can already be viewed through default Windows features, and with no option to generate a report.
