Disk Benchmark

Disk Benchmark is a simple tool that aims to provide information on the health of your storage device. Although you might be tempted to dismiss it as a simple application, it does include effective features that ultimately allow one to diagnose any type of storage available at hand.

As a result, I think this is a great program to use if you are buying second-hand storage devices, as well as a great ally to have at hand if you are selling the devices yourself.

There really isn't much to write about the interface of this program. It is not necessarily ugly, but it is not fancy either. You get what you'd expect from such a tool. One aspect though would need a slight improvement.

The displayed results dealing with the write, copy, and read speed could be made a tad more visible in order for the users to easily identify the characteristics of their scanned device.

The graph on the right of the interface is also useful, but the same idea of increasing its visibility applies here too. Other than that, I found this tool to be perfect for demonstrating to myself or others the capability of my storage drives. In fact, I even managed to sell one particular drive that some might have felt was not up to par with current storage standards.

The copy of clipboard options is also helpful. This is especially true if you are trying to integrate accurate results in the descriptions of a product you are trying to describe online or in any other type of virtual written form. In order to start the benchmark, before using any of the few features provided, one must hit the start button, of course.

Disk Benchmark is pretty much what you'd expect it to be, a simple application aimed at users who want to check the performance of any available storage drive.
