DriverMon

Most of us don’t give a second thought to what drivers do on our computer once they are installed, but keeping tabs on their activity can be important, and you can do this easily with a specialized piece of software.

DriverMon is an open-source application designed to help you keep an eye on driver activity. It features a modern UI and is quite easy to use, but it is still in early Beta so it may have some bugs that need working out.

You can get started in no time at all, as the program doesn’t come with an installer and can be launched as soon as you have unpacked the archive. The UI features a simple, intuitive layout, and there are also multiple color themes to choose from.

First and foremost, you will need to bring up the Drivers panel and select the ones you wish to monitor. Every installed driver is displayed in the list, and you can use simple text filters to find the ones you are looking for more easily.

The application allows you to select any number of drivers, but they are not remembered after shutting it down, which means you will need to select them again when you restart the utility.

All detected actions are displayed in the main program window, and you can sort the entries based on various parameters by simply clicking any of the columns. What’s more, you can use simple filters to view only relevant items.

It is important to remember that this application is still in the Beta stage of development, so it is likely that you will run into some bugs while using it. We experienced a few crashes during our tests, and the lack of documentation makes troubleshooting difficult.

DriverMon is a helpful piece of software that enables you to track driver activity on your system. It is easy to deploy, and it features an intuitive UI, but this Beta release seems to have some stability issues.
