Fluent Flyouts Battery

If you are running Windows on a laptop, then you have an additional icon to show you the battery level near the system tray, right next to the clock. By default, Windows only shows you the current battery level and nothing else. Released under an open-source license, Fluent Flyouts Battery provides a Store app for Windows 10 and Windows 11 ready to deliver information at a glance about your laptop’s battery.

The application is installed via the Windows Store, and, after a brief download and installation process, it opens its floating transparent window near the system tray. Not only that it reveals the battery level, but it also shows you additional information that can help you keep a close eye on the battery’s lifetime and health.

The floating window reveals the usage intensity, the remaining capacity (Wh) of the battery and the discharge rate. The battery health is also shown.

Aside from the usage and charging status and the battery health assessment, Fluent Flyouts Battery also shows you the power status and a power plan slider. This latter tool makes it possible to switch to another power plan quickly and easily, without having to go through Windows’ settings.

All the data revealed in the main window of Fluent Flyouts Battery can be hidden by simply toggling it off from the application’s settings.

It’s not just the battery charge level that is shown in Fluent Flyouts Battery. Instead, you get a broad information report on the battery charge capacity, its charge rate and voltage. And, more importantly, all this information is available to you in a transparent, small window that does not interfere with your work.
