Hardware information can be viewed through default Windows features, but it might not be the actual depth you’re looking for. Driver updates can have a saying in your interest, but there are specialized applications which can provide all you need. For instance, HardwareInfos analyzes CPU and GPU info, while also letting you generate reports.

First of all, you need to go through a setup process so that the application can blend with your system to be able to properly gather necessary info. Running it as administrator is not really necessary, nor a system restart once setup is done. This means that you gain all required info from the start.

Right from the start, all info fields are automatically filled by the application, based on what it can gather from hardware components. Several sections are found to show CPU and memory details, but most emphasis is put on the graphics adapter. Info fields are not editable, but you can easily select fields of interest to copy to clipboard.

CPU details include name, family, core speed, number, stepping, instructions, as well as the operating system you’re currently using. Memory details include only the total amount, without mentioning the type of slots, or number of actual cards installed.

As mentioned, more details are displayed regarding the graphics adapter.
