Joel's Systray Multitool

It is often important to keep track of resource usage, but you need to get hold of a third-party utility if you want to monitor CPU and RAM usage without using the Task Manager.

Joel's Systray Multitool is a lightweight program that adds a few system tray icons which let you keep an eye on CPU and memory usage. It doesn’t offer a lot of customization options, but it is very easy to set up.

Once you have completed the setup process, you can launch the application to enable the default system tray icons. The initial font color is black, however, so you will probably need to change it if using the program on Windows 10.

Joel's Systray Multitool allows you to monitor CPU and RAM usage, as well as view the amount of available memory. Any of the icons can be disabled if you only wish to track a certain parameter.

Aside from changing the text color, you can’t change anything else about the system tray icons. You can use custom colors, however, which is certainly useful.

Unfortunately, though, the default font size is very small, making it difficult to read the numbers. The most important feature that needs to be added in future releases is the ability to select a different font and increase its dimensions.

On the whole, Joel's Systray Multitool is not a complex program by any means, and it still needs a lot of improvements. You can use it to monitor CPU usage, RAM usage and available memory using system tray icons.

However, it is not possible to change the default font or increase its dimensions, which is a pretty big drawback, as the readings may be too small for some users.
