The standard Windows Task Manager is a powerful utility that offers plenty of advanced features, but a simpler tool may be more suitable in certain situations.

StarzKiller is a lightweight application designed to serve as an alternative to the classic Task Manager. It offers a very limited array of features, but may prove to be useful to some users.

As soon as you launch StarzKiller, you are sure to notice that its layout is pretty straightforward. You can view the list of processes on the left side of the interface, while the acquired system information and resource meters are displayed on the right.

Unfortunately, no alternative arrangements are possible, and the window’s dimensions cannot be altered.

StarzKiller does not provide you with a lot of data, as it only lists the active processes, information about your operating system, processor and RAM, as well as the current resource usage. Also, you cannot view the CPU or RAM usage of individual processes.

Sadly, the entries cannot be sorted or categorized in any way, no descriptions are provided, and you cannot view which user account they are assigned to.

StarzKiller is a great tool for those who want to have an easy way of killing various processes, as you are not required to confirm this action, thus saving valuable time. However, it may be quite difficult to find the right program, because no search function is included.

The process list is not updated in real time, so you have to refresh it if you want to monitor applications that have been launched after StarzKiller.

On the whole, this is a simple task manager that may prove to be useful in certain scenarios, but its limited assortment of features reduces its versatility significantly.
