System Information Gathering Tool is a tiny application that collects hardware and software-related information to reveal it in a single place. It can save data to file.
As long as you have .NET Framework installed, you don't need to set up anything else. You can drop the downloaded files to a custom location on the hard drive and simply double-click the .exe to launch the program.
Otherwise, you can keep System Information Gathering Tool stored on a USB flash disk to run it on any PC to collect sys info seamlessly. Worth noting is that it doesn't modify Windows registry settings.
The interface is user-friendly, represented by a standard .NET Framework form with a minimalistic look, which is split into several tabs for viewing system, process, registry, log file and other information in separate areas, along with any errors.
To get started, you must instruct the tool to analyze the PC for any of the aforementioned categories, or for everything. This scanning operation doesn't take long, after which you can examine results.
These include the name, manufacturer, architecture, maximum clock speed, data width and family of the processor, network adapter IP addresses, DNS domain, MAC address and default IP gateway, as well as the start time, physical memory usage, base priority, priority class, user and total processor time and paged memory size of each process. This represents a small part of the data provided by this application.
It's possible to save information to TGZ format and open it later, and clear all screens to re-evaluate everything. Keyboard shortcuts are supported.
