If you want to make sure that your operating system is working optimally, then it is recommended that your computer is receiving timely updates and that they are installed properly. After all, the purpose of the updates is to fix security bugs and enhance the overall performance of your system. As the name suggests, WinUpdatesView is a tool designed to display the history of Windows updates on your system.

The application does not require installation, but rather you can start using it right away after you decompress the archive. It is worth mentioning that the tool uses the local API as main source, but you can easily change this via the Options menu. You can select one or more items and export them to an Excel format or copy to clipboard, so you can explore the data via other third party software.

The app allows you to view updates from a remote computer, proving that you have full admin access with share admin to it. Since the system data is solely for reading in remote, the app provides the option to temporarily stop the Windows Update service. However, make sure no download is downloading or in progress when stopping this service.

As you would expect, the program displays all updates and patches minutely via fields such as Installation Date, Description, Operation Result, Service ID, Support URL, Information URL or Uninstall Notes, just to name a few. You can easily find a particular update using the advanced search function or by simply clicking Ctrl + Q.
