Advanced Shutdown Manager

Advanced Shutdown Manager or ASM for short is an intuitive and innovative application that was designed to help users schedule any shutdown, reboot, or sleep action at a given time specified by the one wielding the machine's mouse.

Although simple in terms of functionality, the innovative part is tied to the aesthetic side of the application. It's indeed sleek, and I'd venture to say it may be the sleekest shutdown scheduler I've seen so far.

Since I decided to compliment the looks of the app, I must also point out that they manage to mix simplicity well with the rather unusual astral-type design. The main feature is the hour and minute selection sliders which look like a planetary system having a power button that activates is the timer in the middle, as the shining star.

The actions you'd like to program are easily selectable from beneath this solar system-like pane and are included in a drop-down menu. These are the shutdown, reboot, and sleep commands which one can easily set when required.

The whole procedure, as you'd imagine, is quite easy. Now, for the time selection part, you can play with the sliders and check the results on top where accurate numbers are displayed in a rather simplistic style.

What really impressed me was how well this app could integrate into the current minimalist Windows look, also keeping in mind it can adapt to your choice of dark or light theme. This means it is more adaptable than I originally anticipated and in my case, it was really easy to see how well it fit with my setup since I also used an astral-inspired theme.

Advanced Shutdown Manager is not as advanced although it is beautiful and manages to perfectly mix very simple functions into a rather innovative casing that will attract those who admire the premium feel of such apps.
