Advanced Task Manager

As the name implies, Advanced Task Manager has the same functionality as the Windows default Task Manager, enabling you to terminate active processes and services. But it comprises extra, more advanced features that should be appealing to experienced users who want better control over their system.

The interface is familiar and well-organized. The primary areas of Advanced Task Manager are found in the Programs, Startup, DLLs, Performance, Internet Connections, File Use and Drivers sections.

You can end the task of a currently running process or send it to the quarantine if you have suspicions about its activity. A list shows the ID, service status, rating based on the danger factor (file description, uninstall, windows or system tray icon), size, memory usage, CPU, active time, file name and folder for each process.

You can restore quarantined files, view a list of DLL files used by the selected program along with their size and version (unfortunately, you cannot export it to file), uninstall a program or look up its details on Google, as well as generate a process report and copy it to the Clipboard.

Other options of Advanced Task Manager let you manage entries of apps that automatically run at system startup, view a list of DLLs and processes while using a search function, check out a graph with the current activity, close established connections, find out what files are opened by a currently running program, as well as get a list of drivers loaded into Windows (including ratings, descriptions and binary files).

Advanced Task Manager uses a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and RAM to work properly, so you shouldn't experience any stability issues, even on newer OS platforms. It is very responsive to commands and carries out a task rapidly and error-free. The app did not hang or crash throughout our evaluation. Although it has not been updated for a while, Advanced Task Manager contains a pack of interesting features for managing processes.
