Battery Tracker

If you are regularly using a laptop, then you probably noticed that it provides very little information about the battery. Simply put, you won’t see anything more than a tiny indicator showing the remaining time and percentage. Then again, to actually see the current percentage of the battery, you need to hover the mouse over the dedicated icon in the System Tray. If you want to see how the battery is used in more detail, then you need to access the Settings.

Battery Tracker is a very minimalistic application that displays the battery percentage so that you don’t have to constantly waste time hovering your mouse over the icon.

The application is portable, so all you need to do to get started is launch it. The tool blends nicely in the System Tray and is available in both dark and light mode, so you don’t have to worry about it distracting you from your work.

A noteworthy feature of the program is that it automatically changes colors based on the remaining battery charge. At the same time, the program is configured to display when the battery reaches 25% or when it’s full, in which case it will display the letter F instead of the percentages.

When the battery gets dangerously low to prevent you from using certain resource-intense apps, then you can just plug in your charger. Then again, if this bothers or distracts you, you can simply uncheck the ‘Show Notifications’. Other than this, the tool doesn’t really have extra settings or options, except for starting with Windows.

Battery Tracker is a lightweight utility that could be appreciated by laptop users who want to know the status of their battery without having to hover their mouse over the dedicated icon in the System Tray.
