There are some computer activities which keep your disk drives busy, but it’s not always the case. First of all, you need to make sure that .NET Framework needs to be installed on the target computer both to benefit from all it has to offer, but also to be able to go through the setup process. It launches right after installation, and it can quietly sit in the tray area so you can see to other activities.

The visual design isn’t meant to make it stand out from the crowd, but its simplicity makes it easy for individuals of all levels of experience to quickly get the hang of things. A large list is there to easily view all detected drives, while dedicated functions can be accessed from the upper menu. There’s also a poll interval in minutes you need to manually adjust.

Note, however, that the application isn’t fitted with an option to make it run at startup, but you can bypass this inconvenience by manually placing a shortcut in the system startup folder. This makes the program automatically poll the selected drives right from the start to minimize your effort.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Drive Caffeine might not be the application you use on a daily basis, but this is mostly because it handles things on its own once configured. You can choose multiple fixed and removable drives, being worth your while overall.
