WatchDOG

WatchDOG is a software utility which was built in order to aid individuals in monitoring processes on your computer, checking their status and reactivating them.

The installation process is a piece of cake, as it does not offer to download or add any kind of products that are not actually necessary for the program to fully function and it does not take longer than a few moments. Once you wrap it up, you come face to face with a pretty well-organized GUI, yet not very appealing. It encompasses a few buttons and some boxes, which means that both beginners and highly experienced people will be able to work with it without experiencing any kind of issues.

The main window also encloses a list of all the processes running on your computer, which can be refreshed with just a click of the button. It is possible to select one and test it for a user-input time interval (expressed in seconds) and with a specified delay period.

When a process is dead or closed, you can simply reactivate it or just launch a new one, by simply selecting an executable item (e.g. EXE, COM, BAT) with the help of a file browser. The language can be changed, you can set up this tool to launch it at Windows startup or minimize it to the system tray with just a click of the button.

All aspects considered, WatchDOG is a useful piece of software, dedicated to all types of users, be they beginners or highly experienced people. All tasks are performed in quite a timely manner, the CPU and memory usage is minimal at all times and we did not pick up on any errors or crashes in our tests.
