One of the application’s main advantages is the lack of a setup process, making it suitable to be carried around on a thumb drive in case you want or need to use it on other computers. Registry entries are not altered during runtime, so it’s safe to say that the PC’s health status remains intact.

The window which shows up is pretty intuitive, and displays intuitive description tags to help you easily understand the whole process. What’s more, major commands are triggered via hotkeys, which means the main window doesn’t need to be on the desktop to make things work. However, unfreezing programs is done through the program window.

What the application does is actually freeze the window in focus, making it unusable until unfrozen. A good idea is to enable the option to hide frozen windows, or you risk ending up with the desktop taken up by an unusable window. You can choose to have all child processes frozen too.

When not in direct need, the application window can be minimized to the tray area, and easily brought back up through hotkeys. Although freezing a program prevents it from using any CPU, RAM is still left occupied, even though it remains at a fixed value.

Bottom line is that Lazar Freezer wants to help you efficiently manage computer resources. Although it does manage to freeze RAM and prevent any CPU consumption, it can be a little difficult to manage frozen programs. Luckily, there is an option to hide targeted programs.
