ProcessKiller

Doesn’t hanging programs irritate you?  Install ProcessKiller. Instead switching to tasks manager and looking for a hanging program in the list of processes just press CTRL + ALT + END. Active program will quit immediately.

The ProcessKiller application will terminate the active program. This takes half a second and the only think you have to do is press Ctrl + Alt + End on your keyboard. The same way you can also close hanging programs.

Sometimes a program does not work with ProcessKiller. This happens when the program intercepts all the messages from the keyboard, some games for example :/

ProcessKiller closes the active program. When you switch from hanging program to another (by pressing Alt + Tab for example) in most cases you will not be able to switch back to the hanging one. Although you select it with the mouse or pick in Alt + Tab window, it doesn’t become active. Disappearance of the taskbar sugests that closed program was the explorer.exe, which displays the taskbar and Windows desktop.

ProcessKiller is like a knife that can slice bread or hurt someone. ProcessKiller closes programs without saving your work. It also closes the active program which is not always the one on top of the screen. ProcessKiller should be used to kill hanging program before switching to another application because when a user tries to switch back to the hanging program it doesn’t become active in most cases
