Rapid Close

Sometimes you really need to leave your PC and close it as fast as possible, but, if you had multiple applications opened at the same time, the shutdown will be hindered and the app will need manual confirmation in order to close and let the PC turn off. If you are tired of this routine and need an app that will kill all apps and shut down your system, Rapid Close can help your with that.

Rapid close provides you with an icon after installation, but the icon won’t open the interface.  However, you can use the “Ctrl+Alt+L” default combination to pop up a small combo menu with the necessary options. This combination can be changed at any time.

Keep in mind that the icon is not useless, it activates the program in the system tray in case you don’t have it activated on system startup.

One of the actions possible with Rapid Close is “Close Everything and Restart,” an option that may be of no use to people that prefer to perform a quick restart directly from the tower’s button.

The other one, and the most useful is “Close Everything and Shutdown”. Upon using this command, all your running applications are going to be forcefully closed and the PC will shut down. As a small note, make sure you save your work before using this app in order to preserve your progress.

To sum it up, Rapid Close is a neat and lightweight tool that lets you kill all of your running programs in order to shut down the PC faster. Its lack of UI won’t pull down the functionality side as it requires one single click in order to be successfully operated.
