While the application requires installation, which is a simple and straightforward operation, the developer recommends that you do not install it as administrator, but rather as a regular user. The interface is console-like, but don't fret, as all options are available and accessing any of them is a simple matter of typing the corresponding number.

For instance, setting the volume entails typing 1 and then typing the desired startup volume between 0 and 100. The app confirms your choice and informs you that the master volume is not set to the specified number.

The application comes with a volume testing feature that you can use to check whether the volume is changed as desired. The said feature does not work on Windows 11, but take note that the app has been tested on Windows 10 Home, so there are good chances it works on Windows 10.

It is important to note that the application does not run in the background similar to other tools in this niche. Instead, it does its job and solely activates on startup after a system reboot or shutdown to make sure the volume is as you specified. According to the developer, the tool does not work when the computer is in sleep or hibernation.
