More often than not, you may have several windows open either from the browser or from a specific application you are working with. In case you want to check out another window that is behind the one you are currently using, then Windows offers you two options in this case. First, you can use the standard Windows + D command to minimize all open windows and open the one you need to preview. The second alternative is to use the Alt + Tab and navigate to the one you are interested in.

While both options are viable, sometimes they can be time consuming because let's say, you alt-tabbing fast between the open windows and happen to pass the one you want accidentally. Similarly, if you minimize everything, you need to take the time to select the one you need from the taskbar which may or may not display sufficient information for you to recognize it.

More precisely, the program is designed to adjust the transparency for the current active window so that you can view what's behind. You can increase the transparency using the Ctrl + F12 and reduce it via Ctrl + F11 hotkeys.
