Windows God Mode

Windows God Mode is an application intended to provide access to all the configuration settings of your operating system from a single window. It offers you the possibility to modify the way items are arranged within Control Panel and gain access to all types of controls.

The so-called 'God Mode' works on Windows 7 and 8 and it is appreciated by advanced users, for it allows them to modify the system settings much easier. Alternatively, it can be activated by creating a new folder in Windows and renaming it as follows: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}.

Windows God Mode is an application that creates this folder for you, allowing you to launch 'God Mode' faster. Once installed, it places a shortcut on the desktop, enabling you to open all the control panels within a single, well-organized window.

Windows God Mode displays all the items in tree-view, enabling you to hide the ones you don't need. It brings together options in the Action Center, Administrative Tools to manage partitions and hard disks, credentials management, media device auto-play settings, backup and restore, BitLocker encryption, color management, as well as date and time settings.

Practically, it allows you to view all the options that are available in the Control Panel, but without the trouble of going back and forth to find the desired one. You can configure hardware devices (keyboard, mouse, printers), display options, fonts and folders, security -related settings, network connections, power options and so on.

While its name might suggest differently, Windows God Mode is nothing more than a method of rearranging the Control Panel items in order to view and configure system settings much easier. All the configuration settings can be conveniently accessed from a single place, without having to search within Control Panel. As mentioned above, the same result can be obtained by renaming a newly created folder, so this application can only prove useful for those who don't want to bother doing so.
