Unless you invested in a specific non-English language keyboard, then most of these devices come pretty standard with no noticeable difference between them. If you would like to change that and be able to improve the overall usability of your keyboard, then you will need a third-party specialized tool, such as kanata.

Typically the tool comes with a default configuration file - kanata.kdb - that you should download and place in the same folder as the executable to run. The configuration file is human readable and can be edited according to your needs and preferences. Take note that the said file contains an example of all features with documentation and each file is tested to work with its corresponding release.

Provided that you downloaded both files and successfully launched the tool, now you are ready to improve key functionality and customize the hotkeys as you want. More precisely, the program allows you to send key combos in a single press, send mouse clicks events with the keyboard, temporary layers that can be toggled on and off, perform different actions with the same key but using many different rapid taps, create macros, so on and so forth. The app supports live reload of the configuration, so it is easy to test them out.
