Unless you’re playing or endlessly scrolling on social networks, chances are you rely on more windows on the desktop to efficiently manage your work. However, it becomes frustrating to switch, or simply arrange them in a suitable order. Luckily, you can use reSizer to modify window positions through the help of hotkeys.

Once installed and launched, the application automatically goes to the tray area. In fact, it’s where it spends most of its time since it doesn’t really come with an interface of it’s own. You find the enhancement pretty useful, and there’s also a built-in option to make it run with Windows so that it’s ready when you reach the desktop.

Chances are you end up scratching your head for a while at first, with no set of options or descriptions to display functionality terms. On the other hand, there’s a rich help file which displays all supported hotkey commands and corresponding actions. Unfortunately, these can’t be changed, but the default configuration is comfortable enough.

The window in focus is processed first. Movement can be done with accuracy through arrow keys, while numpad buttons send the active window to any of the sides, or the center of the screen. In case you’re using a second monitor, a dedicated command sends the active window there.

More commands can be used to maximize, minimize, and restore a window. Moreover, new size specifications can be reached through different keys, or have opacity toggled, but with no adjustment slider. Top layer priority can be assigned, and it’s even possible to scroll through windows.

All things considered, reSizer is a lightweight, but pretty powerful application which brings a ton of window management operations at your fingertips. Although you can’t change hotkeys, the default configuration is easy to learn, making it worth your while overall.
