Hyper-V Switch

Although powerful and robust, Microsoft's virtualization solution, Hyper-V, has one important disadvantage. Since its hypervisor is running permanently, it might affect other virtualization solutions launched on the same system.

The first solution you might think of is to uninstall the Hyper-V role, found in the Control Panel amongst other Hyper-V components, which does not take a lot of time, but requires a restart and puts you through a more tedious process if you need to install it again. One other option is to configure Windows to disable Hyper-V on startup from the boot configuration. But none of these solutions are straightforward enough.

Hyper-V Switch is an application that can tamper with the boot configuration parameters to prevent Hyper-V from strating with Windows. It only takes the push of a button to deactivate Hyper-V on a computer but, as the application chnages boot settings, a restart is mandatory. The major plus is that if you want to re-enable Hyper-V, you can do so just as easy. A reboot is required in this case as well. Obvisouly, due to the nature of the application, administrative privileges are required to perform the changes.
