Most of us have been in a situation when you are unable to open as it is blocked by your security system. This is nothing more than a security measure implemented by the antivirus or Windows to mitigate potential risks associated with potentially harmful content.

Then again, sometimes files get flagged unnecessarily. UnblockFile is a tiny tool that allows you to bypass this, and it may come in handy when you want to access files that you know are safe.

The application is portable, so simply grab and place it somewhere convenient if you plan to use it frequently. The developer mentions that you can add it to the context menu as well, but you will need to do so via the registry editor.

To unblock a file, simply drag and drop it over the application, and you will receive a message in the System Tray area that the process is successful. The app doesn’t have an interface, but, considering its role, it’s not really necessary.

The program address power users who may need to access various types of files, including those that get flagged as unsafe by the antivirus solution or the operating system. It is recommended that you do act cautiously and don’t attempt to open files that you grabbed from shady sites or location you don’t really know much about.
