While you may be able to adjust the brightness of your monitor to some extent via the system settings, the same can’t be said about the gamma options. In some cases, the operating system may offer minimum control over these settings, or they may not be accessible at all.

Gamma Manager is a lightweight, open-source application that enables you to fine-tune both the brightness and gamma settings so that you can enjoy an enhanced viewing experience.

The application doesn’t require installation, so just launch and you can adjust the monitors’ settings accordingly. However, bear in mind, that the app creates a INI file where it saves your configuration, so you may need to create a folder specifically for this purpose. You can create a profile for each monitor you have.

The interface consists of a single window where you can adjust the gamma, brightness or the contrast by either entering the desired value or moving the dedicated bars, if you want to experiment. The changes can be made on individual RGB colors or altogether, depending on your needs and preferences. If you happen to change your mind, simply hit the Reset button to get all the values to default.

The application can be beneficial for anyone using multiple monitors. Nevertheless, it works quite well for a single monitor setup, as you can easily switch between profiles based on what you are doing. For instance, you can create a profile with high brightness and gamma for your gaming sessions and one with lower settings for reading or when you are working with documents.
