Include the Remote Server Administrative Tools on the latest versions of Windows 10 operating system using this PowerShell script #RSAT installer #Install RSAT #Uninstall RSAT #RSAT #Remote server #Remote Server Administration Tools
Install or Uninstall RSAT for Windows 10 is a script for the console that allows you to easily install the Remote Server Administration Tools. The script can come in handy for network administrators who updated Windows 10 to versions 1809 and 1903, as these patches no longer contain RSAT as a downloadable addon. In fact, in the latter patches, the set of tools is available in the “Features on Demand” directly in the settings of the operating system.
It is important to note that the script works solely on the Windows 10 versions that do not include the set, namely 1809, 1903 and 1909. Giving the nature of the script, it goes without saying that you need to run it with an account that has Administrative Rights. Moreover, you need to make sure that you are connected to the Internet as the RSAT is installed via Microsoft Update.
The script comes with a few options, which you can use depending on the situation. Therefore, -All allows you to install all features of the RSAT bundle. In case you do not need all of them, then you can employ -Basic which allows you to include AD DS, DHCP, DNS and Group Policy Management and Server Manager. The -ServerManager only installs this option.
