SilverSoft Speed is a lightweight piece of software designed to help you increase the speed and responsiveness of your computer even if you lack the hardware components.

The installation is quick, straightforward and does not require any special attention from your part, as it entails following a few standard steps that you are probably familiar with. Upon launch, you can access the application from the System Tray and choose one of the pre-defined values to speed up your computer.

The program comes with an old-school interface that includes rather large fonts,  an option that can make the display rather faulty on individual monitors or displays. In spite of the rugged look, the interface is rather intuitive and unlikely to give you any troubles, regardless of your experience with similar applications.

As previously mentioned, the idea behind the app is to help you speed up your system slightly even if you do not have the necessary hardware. Then again, you should bear in mind that in order to run various games and particularly the latest releases, you still need to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements.

Functionality-wise the program is as simple as it gets, as all you need to do is specify the value that you want to increase the game speed by. The utility allows you to enhance the speed rate by 1,500, a command that you can even use while playing via the dedicated hotkeys or a custom key combination.
