System Readiness for Workstations is a set of tools that enables you to manage your operating system more efficiently. Not only does it enable you to easily install common and trustworthy apps most users should have, but it also enables you to enhance and optimize Windows.

The program packs a rather simplistic interface that enables you to access its two main sections, Programs and Tools. You can change this from the Settings by activating the ‘Use the legacy UI layout’ option. After you restart the tool as prompted, you should be able to view and access all sections from the same window.

The Programs section contains a plethora of widely used applications that most users have or should have installed on their system. The apps are packed in categories and include general Utilities, Browsers, Unstable software, Development, Social and Gaming. Simply expand the desired category to select the utilities by marking them and then hitting the Install Program(s) button located in the lower section.

It is worth mentioning that the app also provides a quick way to uninstall programs that you are not or no longer using. Similarly to the aforementioned operation, select the ones you want to remove and then access the Uninstall Program(s) button.

The Tools section is mostly addressing advanced users as it contains various programs to enhance and optimize Windows. More precisely, you have various ways to manage winget as well as removing UWP apps and disabling Windows capabilities. You can download and use scripts to help tweak the performance and security. Considering that some of this options can break your OS, it is best to use them with caution.
