Tweak UIX

Tweak UIX is an enhanced replica of the original Tweak UI tool, first available in Windows 98 as part of the Windows PowerToys. Just like the app that became its source of inspiration, Tweak UIX assists you in customizing your Windows installation by removing features you don’t need or adding some others.

Working with Tweak UIX is no difficult task, since all the tweaks you can apply are shown in the left-side panel. The main window enables you to scroll through all the available customization options and check the ones you want to apply.

A search option is there to help you in finding the setting you need quickly without having to manually browse the list. For your convenience, Tweak UIX can load a previously-saved configuration template, so that you apply the settings quickly, without wasting time.

With the help of Tweak UIX, you can change the default Window settings related to Windows Explorer, the desktop and the working area, as well as settings related to telemetry and privacy, disk cleanup, Windows updates, gaming, and more.

For instance, you can enable the Windows 10 file explorer to replace the new one in Windows 11 and reveal all the hidden files. A few other built-in settings of Windows can be disabled, siuch as the Snap Assist, Widgets or the acrylic Fluent Design effects. You can change the default position of the taskbar, enable Hyper-V or the Windows 11 system requirements.

Tweak UIX also targets telemetry and privacy-related settings, allowing you to block tracking attempts, disable ads, location tracking, Windows Hello biometrics and tailored experience. App permissions can also be disabled.
