WinCopyPasteDates is a lightweight script that adds dates to the context menu so that you can easily stash them to any given file. The tool is relying on Robocopy to store the information in the %TMP%\WinCPD directory. The dates can be applied to any file without too much hassle.

Given the nature of the utility, it goes without saying that it is portable and that you solely need to download the archive and decompress in the desired location. You should be able to view two new options in the context menu, namely copy dates and paste dates. Since the script is relying on Robocopy, both copy and paste should be running smoothly and without errors. Moreover, it should not affect your clipboard settings in any way.

To avoid any errors with file management, the developer recommends that you run the script with an Administrator account. In case you decide to move the folder of the app in another location, then you need to re-run the script. The reason for this is that, as previously mentioned, the tool stores the information in the %TMP%\WinCPD folder. Uninstalling the tool is quite simple and entails using the dedicated WinCPD_Unistall.reg file that you can find in the app’s directory.

For the time being, the script solely works with individual files. However, the developer pointed out that he plans to add folders in the future releases. He plans to add copying attributes, which can simplify file management operation a great deal.
