A simple and straightforward script that enables you to remove some bloatware mostly from the Taskbar and Start section without too much hassle #Debloat Windows #Windows debloater #OS debloater #Debloat #Debloater #Clean
WinHancer is a tiny script that enables you to remove apps and services that are not really necessary, intrusive and that would otherwise spend system resources. Simply put, it has the role of debloating your operating system from software proprietary to the OEM that you can’t remove through normal means.
It is important to note that the script doesn’t really do a deep debloating of Windows to remove system components that are likely to eat up a lot of resources if they were to run in the background. In fact, it comes with a basic functionality where it disables animations and transparency, Taskbar icons and web search in the Start area. From the W.I.P button, you can disable all Amazon apps. At the same time, it enables file extensions and verbose startup.
After running the script, you are prompted to reboot your computer for the changes to take effect. If you’re not too happy with the results, then simply use the Undo button to redo all changes. For the time being, the script seems unfinished as there are large sections featuring Applications and Utilities that are basically empty. Hopefully, the developer will consider adding helpful tools to help with a more comprehensive debloating of Windows in the future.
