Go back to the old context menu, disable Windows updates, shrink the taskbar and more with this simple tweaking tool for Windows #Windows 11 tweaker #Disable Cortana #Tweak Windows 11 #Windows 11 #Tweaker #Tweak
Ever since the release of Windows 11, users have raised the controversial issue of its telemetry-related functionality and data gathering endeavors. But it is not only about data collection, but also about the functions that come along with the latest edition of the operating systems, functions that you might not use ever, at least some of them, depending on your needs and requirements.
The Internet responded and developers created software tools that can strip down Windows and tweak the system to remove unwanted or unneeded functionality. Such a tool is suggestively called Windows 11 Debloater GUI.
Since it makes modifications to the Windows OS, please note that Windows 11 Debloater GUI requires administrative privileges to launch. Once you do so, a command prompt window is displayed and, ultimately, the application’s main window is revealed.
There are various system tweaks you can apply with Windows 11 Debloater GUI. You will notice that the first option is to apply the so-called “Essential Tweaks”. Not knowing what these “essential” tweaks are is quite annoying, but once you hit the button, you can see the changes that are being applied in the opened console window.
Windows 11 Debloater GUI disabless the telemery functions, the application suggestions and the activity history, location tracking and various other features related to exchanging data with Microsoft. Storage Sense is also disabled, as is the SmartScreen and the Lock screen, as well as a few other services and scheduled tasks. Unfortunately, there is no way to choose which features to preserve and which to remove. On the bright side, you can undo the tweaks with the click of a button.
There are various additional buttons with extra functions: you can restore the old context menu, disable background apps, disable Cortana search, Windows Defender or Windows Updates. The taskbar’s appearance can be changed from default to small and “take ownership” can be removed to activated. Windows 11 Debloater GUI allows you to uninstall OneDrive, Bloatware or Edge.
The PowerShell script that Windows 11 Debloater GUI executes can be easily edited, which means that you can contribute to developing the application’s functionality even further.
Windows 11 Debloater GUI is a simple tool for removing unnecessary functions in Windows, which the OS brings to the table by default. With just a few clicks, it is possible to get rid of Cortana, telemetry features and disable or uninstall features and functions. Luckily, there is an undo button for every command, so there is no problem if you change your mind.
