AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher

The AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher is a software utility that can alter the parameters of the AMD/ATI video driver to remove the initial resolution and refresh rate limits. In other words, it helps the graphics card allow higher resolution and refresh rates.

The application requires no installation. Evidently, it only works on systems that are equipped with an AMD/ATI 5000-series GPU or newer. The presence of the driver file is automatically detected, and the application fails to load should the driver not be present.

What this application does is remove the pixel clock limits for single-link DVI and HDMI, dual-link DVI and VGA, which allows the graphics card to explore its full potential.

The downloaded package includes an executable file that must be launched with administrator privileges. This executable file can be renamed to change certain options, depending on your purpose. You can use AMD/ATI video driver to patch the BIOS signature check or make dual-link DVI ports act as a single DVI port.

After running the application, you have to wait for it to scan to be complete and, if all the limits are found, all you have to do is press a button and wait for the patches to be applied.
