This app is all about having your Windows OS set up properly, based on how you want or need it to perform, free of any useless or poorly configured elements #Windows Debloat #Windows Settings #Windows Performance #Adjust #Debloat #Windows
WinRice might seem like one of those debloating apps, and while it might be that too, it's also so much more. Think of it as a Windows assistant, helping you quickly choose the best possible options to run your OS, making sure you get the most out of it in terms of performance and functionality. It seems the perfect time to check this program out, seeing as the release of a new Windows system might prompt many to install the new OS on their machines.
So what does it do? Depending on your choices, the app can remove bloatware and useless applications, install other programs it deems helpful, clean up your desktop from intruding widgets and windows, adjust update policies and increase privacy. Keep in mind, this app's final goal is to keep your system as stable and functional as possible. Slowness and instability are its main enemies.
The program itself doesn't look like your usual debloat software. The most interesting aspect regarding this app is how customizable it is. You'll be asked a dozen times if you accept or refuse a certain procedure about to be launched with the app. If you'd like to perform only one or two actions and avoid the rest, this is totally possible when running WinRice.
It might not look that friendly in the beginning, but once launched, you'll see how much control is forked over to you. Thus, the program will begin by scanning your system in order to detect if all its requirements are met. This includes supported Windows version, elevated PowerShell rights, and general device communication.
Afterward, the application will proceed to ask you, the user, about various tasks it might perform. Will you create a system restore? Do you need the inbox apps? Are widgets to be removed? Shall it enable dotNET 3.5? Do you want Windows Sandbox? These are just some of the questions asked. Thus, it becomes clear that WinRice is, simply put, much more than a debloater. It's an assistant you can use to configure your OS without much effort.
