A cool gadget which rotates different color tones in three swatches directly on the desktop to instantly have RGB values sent to clipboard #Color swatch #Copy color #Display color swatch #Swatch #Color #Copy
The computer can’t recognize colors in the same way a human does, but rather by specific values. Programming also comes with support for different types of code, which are close to impossible to learn by heart. However, Color Swatches Gadget can sit on the desktop and provide a wide range of RGB codes at the press of a button.
This isn’t a standalone application and comes as a desktop gadget. This means that running it on Windows editions later than Vista require specialized host programs or emulators, with Thoosje Sidebar being a suitable example.
With it installed in a matter of seconds, it then appears on the desktop. Just like any other gadget, it benefits from default set of configuration options. As such, it can be dragged freely over the desktop, force it to stay on top of every other window, and opacity level set so it becomes transparent.
The gadget itself isn’t fitted with any particular options of its own. There are three swatches which slowly change color tones so maybe one of interest just shows up. Each generates a set of three different RGB codes for tint variations it holds. At the press of a button, all value sets are sent to the clipboard to be used accordingly.
